On July 7, 1930, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle passed away in his home
from the effects of a heart attack. He was 71 years of age.
With him at his passing were his wife and children.

Sir Arthur was buried at Minstead Churchyard, Hampshire, England under an oak tree.
His headstone is a cross bearing the words:

Blade Straight
Arthur Conan Doyle
Knight
Patriot, Physician and Man of Letters

His passing was mourned the world over.
